Some conservative naysayers and the media are stating that President Trump is compromising on some of his campaign promises at the discretion of his former corporate executives in the White House and business leaders outside of it.
They say that Trump has swayed from his earlier path of insurgency that helped formed his image from the campaign trail. They suggest that he has sided with the more pragmatic wing of his administration. The conservative naysayers say that this group is more in line with the Washington establishment’s traditional view. Family members Ivanka Trump and so
n in law Jared Kushner are influencing Trump as well.
Trump has always, going back to when he first started in Real Estate, taken advice from people with more experience than he. He took advice from his dad when he first started. So, Trump has always kept his family’s advice close at heart. As well as other people’s advice outside of his inner circle. In Trumps book, “The Art of the Deal,” he mentions often that one of his golden rules is to maximize your options. He protects himself by being flexible. He states that he never gets attached to one approach. Basically he leaves all options open. If one deal falls through he tries another option. Nothing is set in concrete with Trump, he does whatever it takes to ultimately finish on top. Apparently the person that wrote this article as well as most of the main stream media who is trying to persuade the Trump supporters to have second thoughts about Trumps loyalty to them, didn’t read, “The Art of the Deal,” nor have they taken the time out to understand why Trump does what he does. If you don’t understand why Trump does what he does then you will always feel left behind or betrayed by Trump.
“I’m a great believer in asking everyone for an opinion before I make a decision. It’s a natural reflex.” Trump from “The Art of the Deal.”
The media mentions the U.S. Export-Import Bank. During the campaign Trump was skeptical of Exim Bank, which funds U.S. trade deals, calling it “unnecessary.” But his view changed earlier this year after he talked to Boeing Co. CEO Dennis Muilenburg, who explained to him what role the bank plays, said people familiar with the matter. Trump later said, that he now views the bank as important to small businesses, and that other countries had similar banks. This is a perfect example of Trumps willingness to hear other people’s opinions. A real leader listens to other people not just his inner thoughts. Trump as always based his decisions on listening to others. People that never compromise their positions and hold steadfast in their opinions are often bad leaders. Because, they only think about their own interest and not the interest of other’s.
The media and the Conservative naysayers also mention that Trump has backed out on his claim that China manipulates its currency. Has it ever occurred to people that he is holding back his currency claim on China to get what he wants in the long run? Has it ever occurred to some of the conservatives naysayers who are threatening Trump by saying they will not vote for him in the next election, that Trump leaves his options open for the better deal in the long run? No, of course not. The conservative naysayers, who are ready to jump ship at the least issue being compromised, don’t know Trump. And the conservative naysayers will be the same ones who get back on the Trump train when they realize he did it for the good of the country. The conservative naysayers are acting like a bunch of crybaby liberals.
Trump doesn’t pick sides, republican or democrats; this is why he has surrounded himself with some, “moderates,” in the west wing. These moderates have clashed with hard core right winger, Steve Bannon. Perhaps Steve Bannon has been demoted because his dogmatic attitude is a negative influence and his attitude doesn’t mesh with Trump’s philosophy of keeping his options open and his willingness to listen to everyone , not just hard core right wing conservatives.
Lastly I’ll finish of with a nice touch by a quote from Laura Ingraham, a conservative talk show host. “Few are freaking, it’s early. And he’s done, and will do, many of the important things his voters want on the economy, trade and border enforcement.” So let the small group of conservative whiners keep whining because in the long run the author of “The Art of the Deal,” will get the deal that’s best for America, in his quest to Make America Great Again.
